Italian industry of Power and Motion Transmission Systems is among the top four for dimension all over the world and it’s second only after the German one for its technology level with niches of absolute excellence, as it can be seen by the export of sector’s companies – which is on average 60% of the production and 80-85% if we consider the indirect export (about 60% of the deliveries for the internal market). The sector, which has about 300 companies with an industrial dimension plus many more craft companies, contributes positively to the national balance of trades with € 1,6 billions (25% from the production) and it has a credit balance with all the main partners Countries, Germany included. Recent estimates talk about 27.000 units sector’s employees of which 14/15.000 are ASSIOT associates.
Founded on December 1971 under some of the most important sector’s companies initiative, ASSIOT, nowadays, has a hundred companies with about 14.000 employees and about 70% of the representativeness of the sector.
The Association coordinates, protects and promotes technical and economical interests of the Italian and foreign engineering industry and, in particular, it:
